A peek into my life this week.
We made laundry soap.
It was SO EASY.
I have been using this homemade laundry soap recipe for a while now. It is a fairly easy recipe, but I just don’t like having to grate the soap…I know…I’m lazy.
Then I stumbled on this homemade liquid laundry soap recipe on Pinterest, and I am sold—at least on the preparation factor.
- 3 Tablespoons of borax
- 3 Tablespoons of washing soda
- 2 Tablespoons of Dawn
- 4 cups of boiling water
- Put it all in a gallon jug (I used an old milk carton.)
Once it is cooled, fill to the top with water. My friend Nancy just informed me that she omits this step, and uses 1/8 c of the concentrated mixture per load!
I told you—easy peasy, and extremely inexpensive.
I have only used it on one load of laundry, so its effectiveness it yet to be seen. I used our tea kettle to boil the water, and both my 4 year old and almost 2 year old helped me measure out the ingredients!
My favorite post from the week
“So, I will once again
Release my firm hold on that which was never mine to grasp!
AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!
And I will live by faith not by sight!
I will LOOK to HIM!
I will TRUST in HIM!
I will find PEACE & JOY & STRENGTH in HIM!”
